- It was a New Year’s vacation we’ll never forget: aboard Belize Sailing Vacations’ catamaran, Calypso, hosted by Captain Cliff and first-mate, Chef Carrie! That rare blend of adventure, beauty, luxury and hospitality made our visit so special. Our favorite moments included snorkeling with rays, sharks and turtles; SCUBA diving near San Pedro; hunting for lion fish; reeling-in the barracuda; reading and sunning on deck; movie nights; volleyball during a rainshower; Secret Sauce; Chef Carrie’s Cinnamon French Toast; Captain Cliff’s Curry; Chinese lanterns; searching for the perfect shells; and befriending hermit crabs, Dori and Dobby. Our family of four travels throughout the world (with a special love for the Caribbean)…and in our opinion, Cliff, Carrie and Belize Sailing Vacations is very special. We recommend them without hesitation!
- “From the minute we boarded “Calypso” and were promptly created with a warm welcome from Captain Cliff– he simply said, “Welcome home,” we knew we’d made the right choice. My wife and I were treated like royalty; the staff was very attentive to every need and seemed to intuitively know what would make each moment more perfect and delivered right on cue. We spent three days sailing the Cayes from Belize City to ambergris Caye; Captain Cliff knew exactly where the best spots were to fish, snorkel, swim with manatees– you name it; this crew knows there stuff. Every day was greeted with some great options and we simply had to choose what we felt like crossing off our bucket lists for the day. Anyone up for swimming with sharks– there’s an app for that; if turtles are more your pace– they’ve got that covered too! This is quite possibly the best vacation we’ve had in years. I don’t know how we’ll ever top it! I don’t think I’ll try; I’m just going to book another trip on Calypso next year!!!”
- Amazing does not even come close to describing the time my husband and I spent with Belize Sailing. Dave and Shelby really took time to make our experience on board truly memorable…….and they are both great chefs! We are looking forward to coming back to sail with Belize Sailing again and highly recommend this to anyone looking to do a private yacht experience!
