Rory Petrilli

Rory ‘Roo’ Petrilli joined Belize Sailing Vacations after leaving the ski world in search of warm weather sailing and sun. She began sailing over ten years ago in Seattle, spending much of her time racing sailboats ranging from J24’s to a 1D-48 in the Puget Sound region. Even now, she continues to travel to Seattle to race with her crew on a Cookson 12m and also races with a crew in the eastern Caribbean on a J125. In 2009, Rory completed her first open ocean crossing; she was part of a crew of four to sail from Mexico to the South Pacific. Once in the Marquesas Islands, she sailed double-handed on an Alajuela 38 through the Marquesas Islands and Tuamotu Atolls.

Rory now happily lives in the sunshine and loves sailing the beautiful blue waters of Belize. She has been working for Belize Sailing Vacations since 2012 and splits her time between skiing, living in Mexico and working in Belize. She is passionate about the water, sailing and traveling. With her contagious enthusiasm, she brings her knowledge of sailing and love of adventure to your vacation.
