A short journey from San Ignacio town in the Cayo district of Belize, Ka’ana combines a tropical jungle escape with all the style and aesthetics of a cosmopolitan boutique vacation.

The rooms are understated yet elegant and contain all the sumptuous finishes and modern conveniences for a five star stay, including fabulous down duvets, luxury linens, an Italian espresso maker, flat screen TV, air conditioning, a range of locally produced botanical bathroom soaps and goodies, hibiscus flowers throughout and our favourite part….. daily tasty treats left in the mini fridge, including truffles, cookies and more.

There are 4 rooms types: “Balam” rooms are set in a hacienda style building around the pool and feature queen beds, the free-standing queen casitas are dotted down the garden path, the master casitas come with their own private gardens and outdoor showers and the brand new private pool villas come complete with dedicated housemen.

The cuisine at La Ceiba Restaurant is locally influenced with an international twist. Much of the produce is drawn from the hotel’s organic garden is sourced from local farmers and producers. The cocktail list in the Frieze bar is possibly the most creative in all of Belize (we love the ‘Camarão’ – a clear bloody mary, with a shrimp on the side – genius!)

Ka’ana also excels in the adventure and experience department too – they have custom built some incredible tours and experiences that are unique and original, including luxury camping at ancient Mayan cities, jaguar tracking, cultural experiences such as ceramics making with the locals and more.
