Coral Caye is an eco-conscious sanctuary that blends the untouched nature of your surroundings with bespoke butler service, Coppola aesthetics and the spectacular beauty of the Belizean waters, corals and reefs.

The island features a small coral beach, diverse mangrove ecology and is surrounded by corals teeming with marine life. Snorkel right from the shore, kayak, paddle board, fish, relax in a hammock, or play board games from their extensive collection of classics.

There are plenty of tailor made additions available, such as al-fresco massages, a private chef and private attendant for a more elaborate meal, a guided fishing tour, pre-ordered specific grocery items, a cake or special treat to celebrate an occasion. The options are only as limited as your imagination.

Transfers are included from Placencia via a 25 minute fast boat. To reach Placencia there is a regular schedule of light aircraft flights from Belize International and Belize City, which is a 40 minute flight (which we can arrange on your behalf). We can craft a variety of itineraries on your behalf combining time on the island with time in the jungle, at the beach or on a luxury sail boat that can collect you right from the dock (recommended!), contact us for possibilities and options.

Your Butler and Chef will ensure your every need is catered to and they also act as caretakers, housekeeping and guides. They assist with day-to-day inquiries/ activities. The island also has a very sweet resident dog called Goldy.

Your meals will be prepared based on your preferences that are collected in advance of your stay. The hub of the island is the Great House and is your indoor/outdoor living room for your stay. Amenities include a full bar, music, kitchen, dining table, board games, dart board and more

Coral Caye is an eco-retreat and a truly ‘off grid’ experience, perfect for those needing to disconnect, unplug and feel a million miles away from the rest of the world. There is no air conditioning, but sea breezes and floor fans. Phone and an internet connection is available but spotty. There is no TV.

The cottages are decorated to bring the outside in, with airy coastal décor, hardwood floors, open breezes and soft fabrics.

The Coral Cottage is ideal for a couple or family with young children. It has a king bed and a sleeper sofa in the cozy living area, front porch, hammocks and full bathroom with an indoor and outdoor shower.

The Seahorse Cottage, ideal for extended family or additional friends, is situated near the Mangrove Cove where the seahorses live. It features two queen beds, one additional twin bed and an adjacent bathroom with a cold shower.

For the more adventurous and to extend the getaway to even more friends and family, it is possible to pitch a tent!

All meals are included and served in the Great House, with its atmospheric sandy floor and large windows facing out towards the beach, prepared and served by the island’s caretakers. Menus are designed around guests’ preferences and any dietary restrictions. Due to the remote island location, the dining experience is laid back and informal, with an emphasis on local flavours and ocean abundance.

A Continental Belizean-style breakfast of eggs, beans, tortillas, fresh fruit and juices is served each morning. Lunch dishes include salads, sandwiches, traditional rice and chicken and dinner features freshly caught lobster (in season), creole fish and BBQ.

There are 2 eating spaces available: Dine in the Great House with views of the sea, or head for the beachside palapa next to the shore for an intimate, romantic ambience.

Drinks need to be pre-ordered from a list of local beers, bottled spirits and wines from the Coppola vineyard and paid for prior to your arrival.

Exclusive private island use on an all- inclusive basis starts from $1895.00 for double use in one cottage, excluding 9% tax at 9 per cent tax and 10% service charge.

“Staying at Coral Caye was truly an amazing experience! The best part had to be snorkeling through the warm, calm, and crystal clear waters enjoying the plentiful sea life. The cabin was great (it was even stocked with delicious ginger cookies! Mmm…), but sleeping outside on the hammocks right next to the ocean was an experience that I wouldn’t trade for anything. I was able to fall asleep under a glowing moon to the sound of gently lapping waves, and wake up to the vibrant sunrise of another incredible day. I also loved Paulina’s great cooking, Alberto’s stories and incredible fishing/kayaking skills, as well as practicing speaking Spanish with Paulina, which was quite fun. Both Alberto and Paulina were so friendly and thoughtful; they were the perfect caretakers of this beautiful island. I definitely can’t wait to come back in the future!”
